Resizing Images Using IrfanView
There are many online image resize and editing tools but due to the time it takes to upload, resize and download images I recommend that you download an application and use this on your local machine to speed up the process.
My recommended solution is IrfanView
Once you have downloaded and installed the application resizing images is easy.
1. Open IrfanView, then click File > Open - Navigate to the image you are looking to resize
2. Click Image > Resize/Resample - Select the appropriate size for the image.
3. Click File > Save As - Change 'Save as type' to your desire filetype - For photographs we recommend 'JPG - JPEG Files'
4. Type in the new filename and click Save. Make sure to also point the 'Save in' folder to your desired location.
There are many other editing options you can use with IrfanView so feel free to experiment with your images.
